Meaning of General Data Protection Regulation
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies rules that companies dealing with private information about residents of the European Union must follow. The basic principles are lawfulness, fairness, and transparency; limitation of purpose; data minimization; accuracy; storage limitation; integrity and confidentiality (security); and accountability.
When was the law established?
The General Data Protection Regulation was agreed upon by the European Parliament and Council in April 2016. However, it was implemented on 25th of May 2018 as the most comprehensive data privacy act in the world.
What is its purpose?
GDPR was designed to “harmonize” data privacy laws across all member countries and provide more excellent protection and rights to individuals. GDPR was also created to alter how businesses and other organizations can handle the information of those that interact with them. Any organization (whether based inside the European Union or non-EU) that holds personal information (which means any information that may uniquely identify a citizen of the EU) or databases about EU residents is required to implement the regulations. There are significant penalties for companies that breach the regulation.
How does AimBetter comply?
Because some aspects of AimBetter’s mode of monitoring databases and uploading information into our system may have implications, we set out methods of complete compliance with all GDPR rules.
Most importantly, the primary purpose of GDPR is to control and regulate data that companies collect about people. Our agents have clear instructions on how to handle personal data to comply with the GDPR policies fully. Please feel free to check the AimBetter agent monitoring list Here.
AimBetter works by observing the computers’ and database engines’ actions and reading metrics, which are then relayed up to our properly secured processing center over encrypted channels, from which they can be analyzed and reported. No actual information about people contained in the database is ever read or passed over into our system. Read AimBetter End User License Agreement Here.
Since our company is fully GDPR compliant, you can rest assured that none of the details you have provided will ever be misused or shared with an unauthorized third party. Our main goal is to help you develop your business and let you focus on what really matters – which is to manage your enterprise.
